The Planner Studio updates for September 2024

We’re thrilled to announce a series of updates to The Planner Studio-platform, our 3D product configurator. These enhancements are designed to improve user experience, provide valuable insights to our customers, and streamline the configuration process.

 

Here’s what’s new:

1. Advanced Analytics Dashboard

We’ve introduced a comprehensive analytics dashboard that offers invaluable insights into user behavior and product performance. This feature includes:

  • Daily configuration and cart addition graphs
  • Top 5 most used products and product families

 

These analytics will help our customers make data-driven decisions about their product offerings and marketing strategies. Our dashboard already includes conversion tracking, so it is easy to see how much revenue the 3D Configurator is generating.

 

2. Enhanced iOS Augmented Reality Experience

We’ve addressed issues with AR functionality on iOS devices, ensuring a smooth and immersive experience for end-users across various browsers and devices.

 

3. Improved User Interface

We’ve made several UI enhancements to create a more intuitive and responsive experience:

  • The ‘Save & Share’ and ‘Add to Cart’ buttons are now disabled when the scene is empty, preventing user confusion.
  • Zoom in/out controls now use a fixed, definable distance, providing more consistent navigation.
  • The camera rotation has been optimized to prevent viewing from below the floor, maintaining the integrity of shadows and lighting.

These tweaks may seem minor, but they are a step in the direction of making the UI even more user friendly, thereby optimizing conversion rates for our customers.

 

4. PDF Export Functionality

We’ve introduced a new PDF export feature, allowing end-users to save and share their configurations easily. This includes customizable elements such as company logo, configuration code, product details, and pricing.

 

5. Improved 3D File Exports

Our 3D file exports (GLB, USDZ, DAE) now include a custom ‘generator’ value, making it easier to identify files created with theplanner.studio.

 

These updates reflect our commitment to continually improving The Planner Studio platform, providing our customers with the tools they need to create engaging, interactive product configurations that drive sales and customer satisfaction.
