How pricing works

You pay a fixed platform base plus a price per product series - and the per-series price decreases as you add more series. Only the additional series get cheaper; your whole bill is never re-priced, and there are no cliffs or caps to navigate.

An advanced series (rule engine, snap/placement logic or free dimensioning - e.g. shelving, wardrobes, bathrooms) counts as two standard series. Classified once at setup scoping against objective yes/no criteria - never renegotiated.

Setup is a one-off amount per series. Already have 3D files? Setup is reduced or waived - and you always get a fixed from-to quote, never an open-ended "from" price.

What is a series?

One product family built over the same configuration logic - e.g. one sofa model in all its sizes, fabrics and modules. A lamp family in 3 sizes and 12 shades = 1 series. A shelving system with snap logic = 1 advanced series.

Enterprise: ERP/PIM integration, dealer networks, multi-site, custom UI or SLA are quoted individually - book a call.

How much does The Planner Studio cost?
The 3D Product Configurator is priced as a platform base plus a monthly amount per product series, and the per-series amount decreases as you add more. The 3D Room Planner has a flat monthly price by catalog size. Everything is included at every size: AR, save and share, PDF, analytics and the e-commerce integrations. The price estimator on this page gives you a concrete figure in under two minutes.
What counts as one series?
A series is one product family built the same way: one sofa model in every size, fabric and module it comes in, or one pergola in all its sizes and colours. Sizes, colours and fabrics live inside the series and leave the price unchanged. A range of thirty products usually comes to four or five series, because most of them are variants of the same few families. A series with its own rule engine, such as a shelving system with placement logic or a wardrobe with free dimensions, counts as two. What's included in the subscription?
Everything, at every size: hosting of 3D assets, real-time 3D, AR, admin panel with analytics, branded UI, e-commerce integration (Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento), multi-language and multi-currency, B2B pricing, save and share, PDF and BOM export, and ongoing platform updates. Features are the same whether you run one series or thirty; the price follows the number of series.
Do you charge per product or per configuration?
Per series. The subscription is a fixed monthly amount that follows the number of product series you run, with no charge per product, per configuration or per visit. Your customers can build as many configurations as they like.
What about 3D model creation costs?
Setup is a one-off amount per series, and it is reduced or waived when you already have usable 3D files. Production CAD often counts, even if nobody thinks of it as 3D. If models have to be produced from photos and drawings, that is quoted per product. You always get a fixed from-to quote for setup, so the figure holds.
Is there a minimum contract period?
Yes, we typically require a 12-month minimum contract for new customers. This ensures sufficient time to implement the configurator, optimize it based on user data, and achieve ROI. After the initial period, contracts can renew annually or transition to month-to-month.
Can I add or remove series later?
Yes. Series can be added at any time and are billed from the month they go live, at the next step on the ladder. Removing a series takes effect at your next renewal.
What's the difference between Product Configurator and Room Planner?
The 3D Product Configurator lets customers customize individual products (choose materials, colors, modules, dimensions). The 3D Room Planner lets customers design complete spaces with your furniture catalog - placing products in rooms, measuring distances, and visualizing layouts. Many brands use both.
What results do brands see from a configurator?
At SOFACOMPANY, 9% of configurations end in a purchase, measured across more than 520,000 configurations in 9 markets. The figure runs from configuration to purchase. Across our customers, more than $7M in orders has been placed through our configurators. Results depend on your range and your traffic, and the Business Insights dashboard shows your own figures from the day you go live: configurations, add-to-cart and orders.
Are integrations included or extra?
All standard e-commerce integrations (Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento) are included, whatever the size of your subscription. ERP and PIM integrations, dealer networks and custom setups are quoted individually. Book a call and we will scope it with you.
Do you offer a free trial or demo?
We offer personalized demos where we walk you through the platform using examples relevant to your products. We can also create a proof-of-concept with a sample of your products so you can evaluate the configurator before committing.
What payment terms do you offer?
Annual or monthly billing. Annual billing comes with a 10% discount. We can also discuss terms that suit your budget cycle.
