Say yes to 3D configuration without building the capability

Your furniture and interior clients ask for a product configurator once the replatforming is already under way - and a configurator is painful to scope mid-project. Planner Studio is the configurator workstream you can bring in: built and run by us, whitelabelled to the client's brand or to yours, and delivered as a separate track so it never lands on your delivery team. It is the platform behind 40+ configurators across 9+ markets.

Modular sofa configurator with add-to-cart, running inside a furniture brand's webshop

Partner problems we hear in every first call

  • Challenge

The client asks for a configurator mid-project

A furniture brand you have just moved to Shopify Plus or Adobe Commerce discovers that a variant model built for colour and size cannot carry a modular sofa. The request lands on you - usually after scope, budget and go-live are locked.

    Solution

A separate workstream, not a change request

We scope, build and launch the configurator as its own track alongside your build. Your plan keeps its dates; the configurator embeds in the storefront you deliver and hands the checkout native variant IDs.

  • Challenge

Building 3D competence is slow and off-strategy

Hiring 3D artists, writing a rules engine and maintaining an AR pipeline is a product business, not an agency business. Every one-off build becomes a maintenance liability nobody priced in.

    Solution

We keep the 3D and the rules, you keep the client

Asset optimisation, configuration logic, AR, PDF and integrations are ours to deliver and run. You stay the client's lead agency, and the configurator stays on a platform that is maintained every week rather than a project that ages.

  • Challenge

Referrals are goodwill until someone writes the terms down

Your clients ask you who to use, you make the introduction, and the reward is a thank-you. A partner programme that pays the client a discount and the partner nothing gets signed and never used.

    Solution

A share of the revenue, paid to you

Referral partners earn a share of the subscription - and of any setup fee - on every client they introduce, paid when the client pays. Whitelabel partners buy at a partner price and set their own price. The terms are in writing before your first introduction.

What you can put in front of a client tomorrow

Everything below is standard on the platform - not a roadmap, and not something your team has to build or maintain.

Configurator UI matched to a furniture brand's design system

Branded UI

The configurator ships in the client's design system: logo, typography, colours, spacing and micro-copy. Under a whitelabel agreement it carries your name instead of ours - there is no Planner Studio look to explain away.

Add-to-cart from a 3D configurator into the webshop checkout

Add to Cart

The configured piece goes to checkout with its exact modules, fabric, finish and price, as the native variant IDs Shopify, Magento or WooCommerce expect. No parallel cart, no double entry, no custom checkout for you to maintain.

Augmented reality preview of a configured sofa in a living room

Augmented Reality

One tap places the configured product at full scale in the customer's room, with no app to install. It is the feature clients ask about first, and the one that is hardest to build and keep working in-house.

Save and share a configuration

Save & Share

Every configuration lives on a link: shareable with a partner, resumable on another device, trackable for the brand. For your client it is a lead with the exact product attached; for your CRO team it is a recovery flow ready to run.

Branded PDF spec sheet exported from a configurator

PDF and Spec Output

A branded PDF of the configuration with visuals, dimensions and parts list - for clients who also sell to project buyers, interior designers and resellers, not only to consumers.

Frequently asked by agencies and technology partners

What is the difference between a referral partner and a whitelabel partner?
A referral partner introduces the client and steps back: we sell, deliver and own the relationship, and you earn a share of the revenue. A whitelabel partner buys the platform at a partner price, sells it under their own name and owns the client; we are invisible to the end customer. PIM, ERP and e-commerce vendors usually start as integration partners and add either agreement when the first shared client lands.
What does a referral partner earn, and when?
A share of the subscription on every client you introduce - and of the setup fee where one applies - for a fixed period per client. Commission is paid when the client pays their setup invoice, not on an introduction or a meeting. Leads are registered by email with the client's name. The exact rate and period are part of the pilot terms we put in writing before your first introduction.
Who builds the 3D models and the configuration rules?
We do. We start from the client's existing CAD or 3D files - STEP, OBJ, FBX or GLB - and handle optimisation, web conversion and the configuration rules, so your team and the client's team approve rather than produce. Models that must be created from scratch are scoped separately; raise it early, because asset readiness drives the timeline. 3D studios and material scanners deliver to our file specification as suppliers, not resellers.
Will the configurator land on our delivery team?
No. It runs as a separate workstream with its own kickoff, timeline and team on our side - typically eight to twelve weeks from kickoff to live, depending on catalogue size and 3D asset readiness. From your build we need the design tokens, an embed slot on the product page and the platform's variant structure. That is a few days of integration work on your side, not a sprint.
Can Planner Studio be invisible to the end client?
Yes. Under a whitelabel agreement the configurator carries your brand, your contract and your support - whitelabelled deployments are already live today. Under a referral agreement we work with the client directly and credit you as the introducer; you decide how visible you want to be in the project.
What if the client wants to deal with you directly?
Under a referral agreement they do. You keep the credit and the commission, and the client works directly with the team that builds and runs the platform. Under a referral agreement, the client is never routed through a partner.
Do partners get exclusivity in a category or market?
No. We work with several partners in parallel, and confidentiality is what makes that work: your client list, pipeline and commercial terms stay in your track and are never used in another partner's. Lead registration and attribution are set out in the pilot terms we put in writing before your first introduction.
