Ship a 144-SKU collection without 144 photoshoots

Lighting catalogs explode by design: a single fixture lives in 12 finishes, 4 sizes, 3 mounting types. Photographing each variant is impossible; settling for hero shots leaves customers (and dealers) guessing. Planner Studio gives product teams a 3D configurator that ships with the collection on day one - every variant, every market, no extra studio time.

Catalog problems we hear from every product team

  • Challenge

SKU explosion outpaces your asset budget

12 finishes x 4 sizes x 3 mounts = 144 SKUs per family. You can't photograph them all, so customers see a hero shot and try to imagine the rest.

    Solution

    One 3D model, infinite variants

Build the asset once; render every fabric, finish, scale, and mounting combination on demand. The day a new finish is approved, it shows up in the configurator across web, dealer portals, and AR - no studio retake.

  • Challenge

Marketing assets lag the product launch by months

By the time print and web have full coverage, the next collection is already in tooling. You launch with half the story.

    Solution

    Configurator-ready from day one

3D files travel from CAD into the configurator, into AR, into PR renders, and into dealer training the same week. Time-to-launch drops, not the other way round.

  • Challenge

Physical samples are slow and expensive

Shipping pendants to dealers, retailers, and architects across markets eats budget and weeks - and they still ask for "the other finish too."

    Solution

Digital samples that close the loop

Dealers and architects browse the full range in 3D and AR. Customer-specific pricing and reseller access mean B2B partners can specify and quote without waiting for physical stock.

Built for the people shipping the catalog

From CAD file to dealer portal: every step where you used to need a photoshoot, a sample, or a spreadsheet.

PDF download - branded spec sheet

PDF Download

Configurations export as branded spec sheets - dimensions, finishes, mounting type, SKU codes, your logo. Dealers send them straight to the contractor; architects drop them into project files. No more 'can you email me a PDF version?'

Reseller portal access

Resellers

Dealers and architects access the configurator with their own pricing, brand context, and quote tools. No exposed end-customer prices, no confusion - just a clean spec environment.

Augmented reality preview

Augmented Reality

Customers (and architects) see the fixture at full scale in their actual ceiling. The fastest way to cut 'send me a sample' requests.

Branded UI example

Branded UI

One brand language across dealer portal, consumer site, AR, and PR renders. The product team approves the look once.

View Dimensions

Every variant carries its real-world measurements: width, height, drop, mounting offset. The customer (or architect) toggles dimensions on, sees the lamp at scale, and stops asking 'will it fit?'

Frequently asked by product managers

How does it handle our existing CAD/3D files?
We accept STEP, IGES, OBJ, FBX, and most native CAD formats. Our 3D team optimises them for real-time rendering (glTF/GLB) without losing the design fidelity. You keep ownership of all output assets.
Can dealers and architects access the configurator separately from end customers?
Yes. The Resellers feature gives B2B partners their own login, their own pricing, and a quote-export workflow. End-customer pricing stays hidden; dealer-specific terms carry through.
How fast can we add a new finish or size?
A new finish is typically a same-day update to the material library. New sizes or mounting types take a bit longer if they require new geometry, but most go live within a week of the spec being approved.
Can the same 3D asset be reused for print and PR renders?
Yes - the GLB/glTF assets we deliver work directly in Blender, Cinema 4D, Unreal, and most render pipelines. Marketing teams use them for catalog renders, PR images, and trade show visuals without going back to the original CAD.
How do you measure ROI for a product team (vs. an e-commerce team)?
Product-team KPIs we benchmark on: time-from-launch-to-full-asset-coverage, sample-shipment cost reduction, dealer self-service rate, and configurator-led specification volume. We share comparable benchmarks during the demo.
How long until launch?
Eight to twelve weeks from kickoff to live, depending on catalog size and the state of your 3D files. We can launch with a single product family first and expand from there.
